Father and Son

The relationship between Yahuah and Yahusha is not difficult to understand. It is that of Father and Son. The same relationship we have with our Father in Heaven. Yahuah is not only the Father of Yahusha but He is the Father of all His sons in the same way. In the physical shadow of earthly father and son; and the spiritual parallel that shadow represents… the father and son are not the same “being”. One begets the other. One is an “image” of the other.

Yahuah has always revealed Himself as our Father as Yahusha too confirmed. We see that Yahuah is Yahusha’s Father as Yahusha is no different than you and I:

Luke 11
2 He said to them, “When you pray, say: “‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.”

1 Peter 1
To Yahuah’s elect, exiles (lost sheep of The House of Israel) scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2 who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of Yahuah the Father… 3 Praise be to the Elohim and Father of our King Yahusha the Messiah! In His (our Father’s) great mercy He (our Father) has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Yahusha the Messiah from the dead, 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance (of Yahuah the Father to His sons) is kept in The Kingdom of Yahuah for you.

1 Corinthians 8
5 For even if there are so-called Gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “Gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father Yahuah, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one King, Yahusha the Messiah, for whom all things were created (by Yahuah as an inheritance) and through whom we live (in covenant being covered by the blood of the lamb).

We see above Paul explain the simple reality of Yahuah being the Father and Yahusha being Yahuah’s first born son through resurrection. We see Yahuah give all His sons the inheritance which is held for us in The Kingdom of Yahuah. We see Sha’ul (Paul) praying that the true knowledge that Yahuah alone is our God and Father be revealed to His chosen:

Ephesians 1
17 I keep asking that the God of our King the Messiah Yahusha, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him (your Father) better. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He (your Father) has called you (as His son), the riches of His (your Father’s) glorious inheritance in His (Yahuah’s) holy people, 19 and His (Yahuah’s) incomparably great power toward us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 He (your Father Yahuah) exerted when He (the Father) raised Yahusha (His son) from the dead and seated Yahusha at His (Father’s) right hand in The Kingdom of Yahuah, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And Yahuah (the Father) placed all things under his (son Yahusha’s) feet and appointed Yahusha to be head over everything for the sons of Yahuah, 23 which is His (Yahuah’s) body (Temple), the fullness of Him (Yahuah) who fills everything in every way.

All of the references to Father and son in the Bible are in context of the Hebraic mindset of the place and authority of the father over his household. It is within this context that Yahusha as the son and “perfect image” of the Father is understood. Yahusha is the proxy of His Father Yahuah as His instrument and assistant as Yahusha is seated at his Father Yahuah’s right hand. The Universe is still the property of The Creator; the responsibility to govern it is given over to His sons.

Unger's Bible Dictionary, page 347

2. PLACE AND AUTHORITY. The position and authority of the father as the head of the family is expressly assumed and sanctioned in Scripture as a likeness of that of the Almighty over his creatures. It lies, of course, at the root of that so-called patriarchal government (Gen. 3:16; I Cor. 11:3)... While the father lived, he continued to represent the whole family, the property was held in his name, and all was under his superintendence and control... The children, and even the grandchildren, continued under the roof of the father … The property of the soil, the power of judgment, the civil rights belonged to him only, and his sons were merely his instruments and assistants...
